I’m originally from Wales in the UK, but now reside in Portugal, where my husband and I manage an animal rescue project and sanctuary on a farm where we live “off the grid." Before becoming a teacher, I spent over 25 years as an accountant and troubleshooter, owning and managing several businesses across various industries.

My teaching philosophy revolves around flexibility and personalised learning. I troubleshoot English, identify the issues and fix them in a simple and structured way, whether exam prep, interview practice, general English or confidence building. I create lessons for each individual student. My knowledge spans: Accountancy, Finance & Book-Keeping, Recycling & Waste Management, Hospitality Industry, Project Management, Art & Design, Sustainable Living & Permaculture, Animal Welfare & Rescue. I create a personalised Google folder for every student. All corrections, notes, vocabulary and lesson progress are saved automatically so you can access everything at any time. Lessons are relaxed, structured, and paced around your needs—supportive, clear and goal-focused.
